It's not a traditional haiku. It does follow the 5,7,5 rhythm. It's also non-standard Nihongo. However, Matsuo Basho (1644-1694), the father of this poetry, often used non-traditional Japanese and often did not mention seasons in his beautiful in-the-moment nuances. Also Applicable: “Then something Tookish woke up inside him, and he wished to go and see the great mountains, and hear the pine-trees and the waterfalls, and explore the caves, and wear a sword instead of a walking-stick.” J.R.R. Tolkien, The Hobbit
